FAQs

What is so special about the High Rize Cot compared to others on the market?

The High Rize Cot is a first of its kind when it comes to baby nursery furniture.

It's designed with both parents and babies in mind, so your back and core muscles are protected alongside the safety of your baby.

You can enjoy the simplicity of a cot that also functions as a change table and bassinet.

And, this is the only cot that converts from a baby bassinet to a cot with the push of a button… no disassembly required!

How does a raising mechanism help me?

Your High Rize Cot rises and lowers with the simple press of a button.

It means no bending to pick up or lay down your baby… and that means no pressure on your back, abdominal muscles or pelvic floor - especially if you’ve had a caesarean or traumatic birth.

It also makes it much easier to change the sheets and clean the cot.

You can adjust the height of the mattress depending on the age of your child. When they are able to sit up on their own, the mattress base can be lowered to the base position.

Because this is done with a simple button press, you don’t have to disassemble the cot… and that’s a whole lot of time and effort saved!

How do I know if I’m going to have mobility issues or back problems after birth?

With any new baby, there’s a lot of lifting involved! By reducing the amount of bending and lifting from your cot, you can prevent chronic back pain and mobility issues.

Around 70% of women experience back pain or reduced back mobility after birth.

Back pain is a common consequence of caesarean birth - which accounts for 36% of births in Australia each year.

If you have a caesarean birth, a functional cot can be a lifesaver when it comes to your back and abdominal muscles.

What other features does the High Rize Cot have?

Your High Rize Cot comes with extra storage so that you can keep all your baby’s accessories together and minimise clutter.

The ethically-sourced timber features a non-toxic finish that makes it safe for teething babies and fully recyclable.

The top bar of your cot is securely covered with a padded, washable fabric.

You can save on space, because it functions as multiple pieces of baby furniture.

And because aesthetics matter, it’s designed with a modern, minimalist appearance.

I use a wheelchair. Can I still use the cot?

Absolutely. Your cot is designed with easy side access, so you can maintain your independence while caring for your baby.

Do your cots meet the Australian and New Zealand safety standards?

Safety is our number one priority! We are legally required to meet Australian standards before it’s available for sale, and we aim to fully adhere to the safety standards of Australia, New Zealand, United States of America, European Union and Canada.

Our cots will be independently tested by a leading global testing laboratory in accordance with safety standard AS/NZS 2172:2017 (cots for household use).

One of the main reasons our cots are designed with fabric mesh sides is to reduce  the chance of little arms or legs getting caught up in traditional cot bars or slats.

Is the High Rize Cot SIDs safe?

The SIDS and Kids organisation does not offer product accreditation; instead, it provides information and methodology on safe sleeping.

Your High Rize Cot will meet the two requirements set out by SIDS and Kids:

  1. Your cot should meet safety standards for Australia and New Zealand (AS2172), United States of America (ASTM F1169), European Union (EN716-1), Canadian (SOR/2016).
  2. The mattress should be firm and the correct size for the cot.

What is the best way to clean and maintain the cot?

Wooden parts
For spills or general cleaning, use a soft damp cloth, followed by a clean dry cloth.

Fabric Mesh
Simply remove the mesh fabric and machine wash.
